We created Espresso Ticino primarily for the small cup (straight espresso and cappuccino). When prepared as a ristretto espresso, Ticino pours thick like maple syrup from the porta-filter, with an unstoppable red-brown crema. The aroma and flavor are dominated by deep fruit (apricot) and chocolate notes, and the finish is long and sweet.

It blooms nicely in small amounts of milk, retaining its delicate sweetness. Ticino is admittedly a dainty blend and will lose its way in masses of milk – we recommend no more than a seven ounce cappuccino (try our Espresso Vesuvio to see how an espresso blend can conquer milk).

Espresso Ticino (tee-CHEE-no) is named after an Italian-speaking canton in Switzerland where they roast and blend some of the best espresso in the world. Yes, we like to set the bar high!
